The primary function of the Data Analyst includes:

  • Extraction, filtering and delivery of the Fund's adhoc reporting needs
  • Creation of new reports
  • Presentation of data in a clear, accurate and timely manner
  • Data analytics to provide reporting and insights to management and other stakeholders which lead to decision making and actions based on evidence
  • Perform analysis of data to identify trends and develop insights into activities, demographics, behaviours and other factors
  • Present findings in a logical and compelling manner to enable easy identification of factors and pathways to action
  • Reporting – with the use of data visualisation tools, create and distribute relevant dashboards
  • Data Governance – integrity and validation to continually assess the accuracy of CareSuper's data
  • Security and Risk – adhere to and advocate relevant data policy principles

The ideal candidate will have:

  • An understanding of data management, data models, business intelligence/data science, reporting visualisation, data governance principles and system management and integration
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Data Visualisation skills
  • Basic understanding of superannuation, legislation, trends, market etc
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing skills
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to work autonomously and with a team environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Strong attention to detail
