The duties for this position may include, but are not limited to:

A) Move, Add, Change and Incident Management

  • Support the cloud architect on technical solution design and documentation
  • Work with global team to deploy cloud solutions and infrastructure to meet customer's requirements
  • Provide on the ground technical support and troubleshoot technical issues at BAU
  • Deployment, and configuration of servers and monitoring/Alerting system deployment and configuration
  • Install Operating System on Servers as part of a rebuild or upgrade or initial deployment
  • Upgrade Operating System version or upgrade Operating System service pack
  • Apply software patches to applications
  • Support troubleshooting, diagnosis and replacement of hardware and software failures
  • Collection and documentation of IT related data. Document procedures to track configuration changes
  • Escalate all application failures in accordance with defined escalation procedures
  • Handle INC/MAC/Deployment requests according to approved procedures

B) Asset Management

  • Asset tagging process
  • Coordinate with OEM and Procurement teams on transport of OEM devices and racks into data center
  • Receiving and transport of deliveries into the specific Receiving or Staging Area
  • Provision of spare parts for INC/MAC/Deployment requests
  • Track an coordinate asset warranty related transactions
  • Transport of devices and parts per their disposition
  • Coordinate the provision, definition and procurement of apps and software tools
  • Coordinate the unpacking, manual handling, storing, transport
  • Weekly status reporting, decommission recording and shipping
  • Project workorder updates and blockage tracking
  • Housekeeping ICT Rooms, related infrastructure matters

Required Education

Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems with 1 year of related working experience in IT environment OR
Diploma in Computer Science or Information Systems with 2 years of related working experience.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Strong ICT skills
  • Experience in Windows Server support and administration (both 2003 and 2008/2012)
  • Experience in Windows Active Directory deployment and administration
  • Experience in Linux installation, support and administration
  • Experience in Microsoft Exchange Server (2003, 2007 and 2010 preferred)
  • Experience in Cisco, HP, Dell and/or NETGEAR routers, firewalls & switches
  • Expertise using Microsoft Office, including Visio
  • Good interpersonal skills with strong ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels
  • Excellent written communication skill and high quality of documentation
  • Be a team player capable of working with both technical and non-technical resources.
  • Capability to work well within a high performing technical team
