CommBank Institutional Banking & Markets (IB&M) division is competing directly with the largest investment banks in the world. We are CommBank's primary face to the market for all complex financing and advisory functions – for both corporate and major government clients. We advise on critical issues surrounding debt and equity capital markets, risk management and transactional banking. We service top tier corporate and government clients both here in Australia and overseas. Our purpose is to enhance our clients' success through market-leading capabilities and unique insights.

Our team is energised about what we do, what we've achieved and the momentum behind where we're headed, and we want you to join us on our journey!

As part of our 12 month program, you will have three fixed rotations through our business areas such as Business Corporate Finance, Client Coverage Group, Cash Flow and Transaction Services which houses our Innovation Lab, Global Markets and Strategy & Operations. The aim is to give you a holistic view of IB&M and you will build and develop your analytical skillset through your different rotations to understand the core business of what we do.

Depending on which area of the business you rotate in, you could be actively involved with financial analysis, financial modelling, preparation of pitch books, undertaking research projects, dealing directly with internal and external clients, and attending client and management meetings. You will also have the chance to be part of our Innovation Lab to provide support in Design Thinking, Rapid prototyping and user experience testing to a variety of initiatives across CommBank tested in the lab.

You will receive extensive training and development, including our 4 week Academy based in Sydney at the beginning of your program as well as attending a number of development conferences as part of the program!

Your program will provide you with a wide support network that includes a dedicated Graduate Steering Committee, comprised of senior leaders across the division, who will work collaboratively to ensure you receive the best graduate experience possible.
