DO WORK THAT MATTERS

We're looking for people to join us in Business Banking, across our CommSec, Product & Customer Solutions, Regional & Agribusiness, Risk and Small Business & Corporate Banking teams.

CommSec

CommSec's core purpose is helping Australians invest with confidence. Joining Australia's leading trading platform allows your work to have a significant impact on our 1.1 million CommSec customers.
We're looking for innovative people to further enhance our products and ensure that we continue as a market leader in the industry.
You'll need a critical thinking mindset, and the ability to be analytical and provide insightful recommendations to the business.
You don't have to have a CommSec account to apply – having an understanding about what we do and being passionate about providing great customer outcomes is essential! If you're passionate about process improvements, customer experience, design and risk, CommSec is the right place for you.

Product & Customer Solutions

Within Product & Customer Solutions sits our Everyday Business Banking (EBB) and Business Lending (BL) teams.
EBB is accountable for cash management, payments and merchant solutions, and manages the end-to-end business customer experience. BL offers a range of lending products to our business customers.
The EBB and BL teams support the full spectrum of customers' needs, from the smallest business to the largest corporates. You will be able to design products and roll them out to client-facing teams. Due to the range of product offerings, you will get the unique opportunity to work with a wide scope of stakeholders.

Regional & Agribusiness

We can turn your passion for rural and regional Australia into a career helping customers with their financial needs. Regional and Agribusiness Banking provides a comprehensive range of financial services to over 30,000 clients located in regional and rural Australia.
We develop strong relationships with our clients to get a real understanding of their needs, and then implement the best strategies for each unique situation.
We're looking for people that are truly passionate about living and working in regional and rural communities, and with excellent interpersonal skills to build meaningful relationships with our diverse client base.
Roles are available in the following regions: Cairns, Toowoomba, Wagga Wagga, Wollongong, Dubbo, Canberra, Geelong, Hobart, Darwin, Adelaide, Bunbury.

Risk

In Risk, you'll play a key role across Business & Private Banking (BPB) in the decision making process when implementing changes and managing incidents that might affect the business.
You will effectively review, test, manage and monitor BPB's processes, controls and internal/external changes in the business environment. By doing so, will ensure that risks are identified, addressed and mitigated to achieve optimal outcomes for BPB and our customers.
We are looking for critical thinkers to partner with the business to identify risks and opportunities and recommend actions. You'll have good communication skills to consult and build relationships with a variety of stakeholders, and make data driven insights to solve problems.

Small Business & Corporate Banking

Within Small Business & Corporate Banking are our Small Business Banking (SBB) and Commercial Banking (CB) teams.
We work with customers from a diverse range of industries and backgrounds, ranging from SMB's to large corporates. This unique opportunity allows you to work alongside our customers to address their complex financial needs.
Our customers are at the core of what we do, so exceptional interpersonal and communications skills are essential. You'll be an innovative thinker, passionate about finding the best solutions for our clients, and an advocate for helping our customers grow and improve their financial wellbeing!

WE INVEST IN YOUR FUTURE

The program commences in late November 2021, where you'll join as a full-time employee over the summer. Here you'll get a taste of what it's like working at CommBank through formal learning events and workplace-based experiential learning, to help you decide if we're the right fit for you.

It centres around 4 key elements:

  • Shine: Contribute from day one by working on real projects that impact our business and our customers, within Australia's largest bank.
  • Develop: Participate in market-leading training to develop your technical and soft skills. This will help with the transition to full-time work from university and ensure you excel in your immediate and future roles.
  • Network: Build networks and friendships through unparalleled access to senior leaders, project leads and program sponsors, enhancing your personal and business profile.
  • Contribute: Give back to the community through graduate initiatives, driving positive change across our organisation and improving the wellbeing of our intern cohort.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • You are an Australian citizen or Australian permanent resident at the time of your application (essential); or
  • You are a New Zealand citizen already residing in Australia, and an Australian resident for tax purposes at the time of your application (essential); and
  • In your penultimate year (second last year) of your university degree, or if you are doing a double degree, you must be in your penultimate year of your overall studies (essential); and
  • Achieving at least a credit average across your university degree (essential).

At CommBank, we're committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce reflecting the customers, businesses and communities we serve. As a value's driven organisation, we nurture and support our people; through focusing on skill and talent development, collaboration, flexibility and internal promotion. With service in mind at every touch point, we take accountability for the role we play in securing and enhancing the financial wellbeing of people, businesses and communities. At CommBank you can be you.
