Keen to elevate your engineering studies with ‘real world’ experience in the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) sector? ConocoPhillips Australia is now recruiting for eligible engineering students to join the 2019/2020 Engineering Vacation Program.

Our exciting portfolio of Australian assets includes the Australia Pacific LNG Facility in Gladstone, Queensland, the Bayu-Undan field in the Timor Sea, and the Darwin LNG Facility in the Northern Territory. We also have exploration and appraisal projects in northern Australia including the Greater Poseidon and Barossa.

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and enthusiastic Petroleum or Mechanical student in their penultimate year (second last year of study before you graduate) to join the ConocoPhillips Australia Engineering Vacation Program based in Perth.

What we offer

About you 

  • Show a genuine interest in pursuing a career in the LNG industry 
  • Be enrolled in one of the following courses: 
    • Penultimate year of Bachelor of Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering OR
    • First year of Master of Engineering Science or Master of Professional Engineering (Petroleum or Mechanical)
  • Credit course weighted average (minimum 65% and above) 
  • Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident 
  • Alignment to ConocoPhillips SPIRIT values 
  • Demonstrate initiative, with strong interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Willingness to learn and improve your professional and technical engineering skills
  • Be available to work in Perth from the 25th November – 21st February, (relocation support provided where appropriate).
