Our IBL 2022 Program:

Daimler Truck and Bus supports Industry Based Learning year after year and continues to develop our program and students who participate. We have had many successful applicants carve their future careers in our industry after building strong career foundations through our IBL program. Based at our corporate Head Office in Mulgrave, and with an open mind towards today's remote working needs, we aim to provide you with the opportunity to begin your career with a prestigious global brand while being able to learn from and contribute to your team. We strive to offer fantastic on the job work experience combined with professional development opportunities to enable you to kick-start your future. The program will commence mid-January 2022. You will need to commit to full-time office hours until end of January 2023.

To qualify for this program, you must be an undergraduate student currently completing your penultimate year of study. As at January 2022, you must have a remaining 12 months or 2 semesters of study to complete your degree.

The role:

This role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities across the three main areas of Network Department: Training Academy, Elite Support and Dealer Development, with various tasks from interacting and supporting our dealers to the coordination of training for new dealer staff. Within this role, you will be involved in critical activities necessary in supporting dealer network across Australia and New Zealand, where you will be interacting with the dealer on daily basis and be responsible for managing and responding to dealer enquiries administered via the network development mailbox. This task requires attention to detail to ensure our dealer database is accurately maintained. Additionally, communication and time management skill are critical in this role, where you will support the event marketing coordination for the Elite Support certification program and support the Training Academy in the facilitating the new hire induction process.

As the successful candidate, you will apply your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build positive business relationships as well as have a high attention to detail. You will enjoy working in a fast paced and dynamic environment. Above all, as you will be working in a small team, you will be team oriented and have a flexible and adaptable attitude to the changing needs of the business.

We are looking for innovative and highly driven students with a strong desire to help shape our fast growing global business. You will display excellent interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills as well as a high attention to detail. You will enjoy working with others and will bring out of the box thinking and a genuine passion for our industry. You will have a strong interest in immersing yourself in this role in order to achieve greater insights into this business unit, and the Truck & Bus industry as a whole.
