The ExxonMobil Awards for Excellence

ExxonMobil established the Awards for Excellence in 2005 in order to recognise and support outstanding achievements by students in the penultimate year of the Master of Engineering.

Three awards valued at $3,000 are available

Eligibility

This scholarship is open to penultimate year Master of Engineering students who are Australian/New Zealand Citizens or Permanent Residents.

Penultimate is to be interpreted as a student who has completed more than 100 points but less than 200 points at the time of advertising.

Selection Criteria & Process

The application form will require the following attachments: 

  • Academic Transcripts or Statement of Results
  • Your CV

Applications will be assessed on the following criteria:

  • Academic merit of the applicant
  • Strength of personal statement covering extracurricular activities and work experience

Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend an interview conducted by a representative of ExxonMobil and a member of Melbourne School of Engineering academic staff. Interviews will take place on Tuesday the 9th of April 2019 and therefore shortlisted candidates must be available on this date.

Those shortlisted for the awards will be considered for the ExxonMobil Engineering Vacation Program in the summer of 2019/2020.

Application Due Date: Monday 1 April 2019

Applications for this scholarship will close at 11:59PM on Monday, 1st of April 2019. All scholarship applications must be completed in full and submitted prior to this time, partially completed forms will not be accessible after the closing date and time.
