SIX-WEEKS PAID INTERNSHIP – AUSTRALIA'S NUMBER ONE PROGRAM

Make a positive impact on people's lives!

Imagine the satisfaction of helping someone get back to work after a significant workplace injury. You're there every step of the way, supporting their recovery, liaising with employers and treating health practitioners, and positively influencing the return to work process. That's what our Case Managers do every day. We also work closely with our clients (employers) to reduce their insurance premiums, and to improve their business performance and safety record.

As an intern at GB, you will be a part of our Gallagher Bassett family. You will work alongside experienced and dedicated claims staff, and be exposed to a wide variety of roles and processes across our Workers' Compensation division.

Depending on your current area of study and career interests, the following Claims roles are available in our 2019 Internship:

  • Role opportunities working alongside our Workers' Compensation team on some of GB's largest clients. This will involve supporting injured workers, reviewing our relationship with intermediaries, and recommending service and cost improvements.
  • A project-focussed role working in consultation with our Impairment Benefits team, reviewing permanent impairment claims and the complexity of injuries versus resolution timeframes. This will involve exposure to solicitors, medical panel, conciliation and the impact of court outcomes, as well as analysing trends and workflow management, and providing recommendations back to the business.

THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

We are opening doors to a long-term successful career. In 2018, GB was ranked as having the NUMBER ONE internship program in Australia! Our interns have loved their experience with us!
