Our pharmaceutical manufacturing plant in Boronia is GSK's largest manufacturing facility in the Southern Hemisphere exporting to over 30 markets around the world. It is also the fourth-largest sterile facility housing a state-of-the-art Blow-Fill-Seal production line. Blow-Fill-Seal uses innovative technology for advanced antiseptic liquid medicines.

Your role as a Supply Chain IBL will be to support the world class global manufacturing site at Boronia, by coordinating appropriate planning and logistics processes and managing inventory to meet the business' customer service levels.

Immersed in a global End-To-End Supply Chain, and tasked with real areas of responsibilities in managing stock and stakeholders from manufacturing site through to customer. You will interact with all areas of the factory operations and regional centres of excellence daily, gaining practical experience of pharmaceutical operations in a world-class facility that has cutting edge technology.

Crucial to this role, is your ability to work autonomously and as part of a team and demonstrate your strong interpersonal skills.

You will support the Planning & Logistics and Warehouse team, as well as having responsibility for a set range of discrete products.

The role will undertake the following activities:

  • Co-ordinate the planning process with Value Stream Managers on a cyclical basis and regional supply chain managers with supply planning support and insight.
  • Communicate inventory positions on assigned portfolio and work with the business to put in place mitigation plans (if needed) to ensure continuity of supply
  • Co-ordinate the Logistic process with Supply and Materials Planners on a cyclical basis and Value Stream (operations) managers with logistics support and insight.
  • Communicate inventory positions on assigned portfolio and work with the business to put in place mitigation plans (if needed) to ensure Working Capital (Inventory) is kept to a healthy level

What we're looking for in a candidate

  • You must be in your penultimate year of a Bachelors Degree in Business/Commerce, Supply Chain or related field
  • An interest in pursuing a career in the pharmaceutical industry is favourable
  • Strong passion and interest in the placement field
  • High attention to detail, rigor and process
  • Excellent project management, to manage and prioritise multiple ongoing projects
  • Teamwork, ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Ability to quickly build strong internal & external networks
