About the program:

As a Graduate Engineer working at Airbus Australia Pacific, you will utilise your training and experience to help deliver Engineering solutions for our Military Helicopters – the Armed Reconnaissance Helicopter (ARH) and the Multi-Role Helicopter (MRH90). Ranging from design work to in-service support, this exciting opportunity will see you be exposed to a broad range of interesting tasks and challenging projects, working within a variety of our engineering teams.

Our graduate Engineers are offered professional growth through a structured program where they complete 3 - 4 rotations through different business units (a minimum of 6 months per rotation) across a one or two year timeframe. Working alongside our Senior Engineers, graduates gain exposure to different areas of the business and different phases of projects and are able to develop a depth of knowledge in their chosen discipline. This provides a unique on-the-job training experience.

About the opportunity:

As a Graduate Engineer you can anticipate some of your day-to-day activities to include:

  • Developing and managing Engineering design tasks;
  • Performing and managing technical investigation of problems or design changes;
  • Developing engineering advice and authorised maintenance data;
  • Maintaining data files, Engineering records and electronic databases as required to accurately report and record Engineering decisions;
  • Participate in and provide input to management/technical reviews and reports as required;
  • Apply your recent education and training to Airbus applications supporting our continuous improvement culture.

About you:

To be eligible for our Graduate Program, we look for the following:

  • Essential to possess a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline (for example: Software/Systems, Aerospace Avionics, Aeronautical, Aeromechanical systems, Mechanical or Electrical).
  • Less than one year of professional Engineering experience.
  • A keen interest in Aerospace and a willingness to learn and be a team player.
  • The capacity for self-directed task management in a fast paced environment and the ability to work effectively within a team.
