I could stay in technical and work my way up to a senior and then consultant engineer OR switch into operations and become a group leader-> supervisor -> op centre manager -> manager and beyond. Operations doesn't have as good a work-life balance and can be quite demanding. Engineering is challenging but not as harsh as operations.
While on the graduate program you are open to apply for any suitable positions
The company seems very willing to promote and progress my career after finishing the graduate program.

Very hard within the technical department due to lots of competition with some brilliant individuals. But opportunities open up regularly if you deliver results. Have to be willing to branch out and get experience in something unfamiliar and really understand the business as a whole.
As part of the graduate program you automatically move up a level each year. There are promotion opportunities once you've finished the program.
The company invests so much into its grads it's great to see strong pathways of growth once completing the program.
Possibilities are international, or managerial roles. All it takes is the desire to go up and the required knowledge.
