Please comment on your company's efforts in this area.
ALDI does not provide free shopping bags, recycles heavily and looks to utilize energy saving equipment. We also provide damaged product to companies for refurbishment to send to third world countries. A number of initiatives are in the process of investigation.
Aldi has extensive programs in place to monitor and reduce our carbon footprint, including highly sophisticated fleet management systems for our transport department, regular power consumption checks and interventions (when necessary) at store level and extensive training to all staff regarding the importance of greener work methods.
Always looking at energy efficient products and services. ALDI is focused on environmental sustainability.
Some stores have water tanks and sub metering. Our property team are constantly working on increasing the star rating of our stores.
The company is working to ensure all stores are energy efficient and are spending a large amount of time and resources on measuring ways to minimise waste.
