I was offered a place on the ANZ Graduate Program, Global Wealth after a series of psychometric testing and a face-to-face interview / assessment centre. I chose ANZ because it is a stand-out organisation in terms of global strategy and growth and has a great reputation for being an organisation that fosters professional development. The program consists of 3 x 6 month rotations through different business units of ANZ Private so my role depends on which particular rotation I am undertaking, ranging from client facing / relationship management roles to enablement and product roles.  Throughout the course of the program, I have been involved in several great pieces of work, such as consolidation futures and options clearing functions for ANZ Australia and ANZ New Zealand, securities lending, Australian equities research, financial modelling and working on the successful alliance of ANZ Private with a Swiss private bank. I find that the healthy working environment and the opportunity to rotate through different departments to get an appreciation of all core aspects of the bank's activities is the best part of this program. I also feel very fortunate to have a very supportive Graduate HR team that works tirelessly to ensure that graduates are having a really positive experience.  In addition, my line managers have all been fantastic mentors and a great support network.
