      The Property & Development Practice

      Our national Property & Development practice is led by a team of pre-eminent partners who have gained a reputation for understanding our client's needs and achieving outstanding results for them.

      The firm's property group adopts a consolidated approach to property and development matters, which is critical for managing timeframes and containing costs. Moreover, the group is unique in terms of its collective experience and depth of expertise, having represented clients in a large number of landmark property and development projects around Australia for nearly half a century.

      We advise on the negotiation, drafting, management and enforcement of building and development agreements. Our objective is to provide clients with the legal foundation necessary to assist clients to minimise risks and maximise returns from a construction and development project. Our experience in construction litigation also assists clients to manage and resolve potential disputes as economically and favourably as possible.

      The Role

      A rare opportunity exists for a recent law graduate to join our market-leading property & development team in Sydney

      The successful candidate will have:

      • completed your law degree or completing your final semester with excellent academic results;
      • achieved strong results in property law with a genuine passion for this subject matter;
      • an ability to communicate, both in writing and orally, clearly and concisely;
      • strong interpersonal skills;
      • excellent attention to detail;
      • an ability to understand and identify the key issues in a legal matter;
      • good judgement and common sense;
      • the ability to work both independently and as part of a team; and
      • a passion for a career in commercial law.

      Overview of key responsibilities

      The wide range of duties that the position will be responsible for include:

      • drafting;
      • research and analysis;
      • negotiation and strategizing; and
      • building relationships with clients and with others in the firm.
