We are recruiting for graduates in ABS offices in Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Hobart and Darwin.

The ABS is looking for highly motivated graduates from a wide array of disciplines and life experiences, who want to play a part in shaping Australia's future and informing the decision making process.

We are recruiting graduates for the following streams:

  • Statistical Analysis and Research
  • Methodology
  • Information Communication & Technology
  • Corporate - Affirmative Measures (Indigenous) only

Graduates will be placed in an ongoing role and will undertake a 9 month development program. Graduates will participate in on-the-job training specific to their role which will continue to build their analytical, conceptual and critical thinking, while enhancing their statistical capability. This is supplemented by a structured training program; a mixture of virtual, self-paced and group learning activities.

You will also undertake a graduate project (in small groups) with each project sponsored by a Director or Senior Executive Service member. They will present their project work to our Senior Executives, sponsors and stakeholders at the end of the Graduate Development Program.
