Our hugely successful Graduate Development Program is now open for 2022, and this year we are proud to promote AEMO’s Women in Energy initiative.

AEMO is taking deliberate action to increase female participation in our technical roles.  This allows us to focus on improving our overall gender balance for current and future talent pipeline.

We invite recent female graduates to apply for the Graduate Development Program and are offering Graduate positions aligned to our core technical areas.

AEMO is looking for individuals with diverse backgrounds who have a genuine interest in the energy sector, who are adaptable, passionate, and keen to learn something new everyday!

The ideal candidate we are seeking will

  • Identify as Female
  • Recently graduated or will by November 2021
  • Hold a GPA of 80% or higher
  • Hold Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
  • Demonstrate good initiative and flexibility
  • Demonstrate strong communication and team orientation
  • Have a strong interest in Australia’s evolving energy sector
  • Display highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills

You will hold a discipline from the Technology groups to include: 

Technology (Engineers Software & Systems, Cyber Security, Cloud, Digital) with an emphasis on application enhancement, software engineering, infrastructure to energy platforms

Our unique three-year program offers exposure to real projects and real responsibilities, graduates will thrive in an environment that promotes innovation, problem solving and collaborative ways of working, having the opportunity to work alongside and be mentored by some of the top energy experts in the country.

During the program graduates are provided with four structured nine-month rotations across the entire AEMO organisation, building their knowledge of our operational and commercial areas, and Australia’s energy sector as a whole.
