At Bankwest there is a big emphasis on diversity and supporting our differences
Exceptional! Bankwest provides tons of information on the diversity programs on day one, and there's a strong emphasis on how important it is to the company. I have already come across 9 colleagues who have taken advantage of maternity (and paternity) leave, and the office is child friendly

We have people from all ethnicbackgrounds and cultures and we also make sure we have a good balance of women and men in the office. We also promote LGBTIQ awareness.

What does your company do to attract applicants from less privileged backgrounds?
Bankwest has a fair hiring process that does not give advantage to higher privilege backgrounds
Bankwest was one of the first companies to offer a set of internships specifically targeted at students on the Autism Spectrum
They have recently started to hire through Autism West into various Software Testing and Delivery roles and are creating a safe space for these colleagues. They are also providing training for other staff on working with colleagues on the autism spectrum
