Culture at Boeing Defence Australia
- Average rating for Culture, based on 10 reviews7.4 / 10
Please describe your company's culture both in the office and after hours. Let us know about the structure and hierarchy, cooperation and teamwork, and socialising amongst colleagues.
There is an amazing culture here, and an effort is made to include people. When there is an issue however, sometimes it can get ignored and swept under the rug.
Teamwork amongst colleagues really does thrive at Boeing, help is given where help is needed. Working hours are quite flexible with the ability to come in earlier to finish earlier, or start later to finish later.
My whole team gets along pretty well. Every now and then we will get smashed together, makes for some great team bonding moments.
Working on a large project means working with many people that bring along different perspectives, knowledge and experience and plenty of learning opportunities.

Positive atmosphere to work in, however not progressive.
Corporate structure, great bonds within the software engineering team, some rigidity across fellow engineering departments. Supporting teams sometimes hindering progress on tasks due to red tape.
It varies a lot by team. I am in a good team, but many other teams have issues e.g. far too concerned with avoiding conflict at all costs, being overly politically correct, etc.
