Got drive? You’ll fit right in.

Technology powers our company. But data is what’s driving us to be smarter, faster and enabling us to be a business of the future. In 2020 we’re data-focused. We’re using insights and analytics to make decisions that; empower our teams, our customers, highlight opportunities, streamline operations and ensure we’re all more efficient.

Start your professional journey by pursuing a career in data & analytics at carsales – where you’ll be part of one of our fastest growing teams. No two days will be the same – you will be encouraged to participate in reporting, perfecting techniques, testing as well as making mistakes and being able to pivot, learn and iterate a new solution. This opportunity is supported through our award-winning 18-month graduate program. As a Data Graduate you’ll be solving real business problems, identifying growth and collaborating with teams to ensure we all better understand our customers and emerging industry trends.

What’s a day in the life of a carsales Grad really like?

Throughout the 18-months you’ll be working with a variety of data teams, where you’ll learn about analytics, modelling, data engineering, data collection and much more. Spending time with each of these teams as part of our six-month rotations, you’ll gain a well-rounded understanding of how our business operates – with a core focus on data and analytics. Each day you will be exposed to working with real data to solve real problems in a fast-paced and ever-changing digital landscape.

What are we looking for?

  • Motivation to grow your career in data analytics, such as becoming a professional data analyst.
  • Final year students or recent graduates with a degree in a Quantitative related discipline, such as Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or something along those lines.
  • You’re a problem solver and solution-oriented – you’ve got an ability to combine analytical and creative thinking and can communicate your thinking in a common data language.
  • You want to know how and why things work – an inquisitive mind is key!
  • That person who’s excited to log-in and get cracking on projects each and every day, passionate about learning, enthusiastic about all things data and ready to add-value in your UNIQUE way!

Some basic housekeeping to keep in mind:
