DO WORK THAT MATTERS

Our purpose is simple: we create a cyber-secure organisation to keep our people and customers safe, sound and secure for generations to come. This is done by using our resources to protect, detect, respond, recover, and identify emerging cyber threats and risks. CommBank has one of the largest cyber security teams in the southern hemisphere!

We're building a courageous, trusting culture and supporting growth at pace. We believe Cyber is everyone's business and invest in our people and communities to develop global Cyber capabilities.
We're part of Enterprise Services (Technology & Operations) and are responsible for world-leading application of technology and operations across every single aspect of CommBank – from innovative product platforms for our customers, to essential tools within our business. Whatever you're working on, you'll be empowered to spark change, transform an industry and deliver what really matters. We're passionate about what we can do with a truly diverse team.

There is a diverse range of careers in Cyber, our teams do everything from Penetration Testing, Developing Security Controls, Incident Response, Threat/Cybercrime Intelligence, Digital Forensics, Privacy and Application Security to Security Awareness & Education as well as Change, Risk and Project Management – to name a few.

WE'RE LOOKING FOR YOU

Our modern cyber teams need a full complement of people with diverse skills, talents and backgrounds. Our teams are a blend of technology, people, process and the law – so a background in Computer Science, IT, Law or Psychology is common but not exclusive. Most important is an understanding of how technology, and people, work. For technical roles, an understanding of how computers work, operating systems, and networks is important.

Doing real work in real teams, you will be supported and empowered to navigate and invigorate your career. You will put your passion into practice and develop your technical knowledge, while making a real difference in the financial wellbeing of our customers and communities.

WE INVEST IN YOUR FUTURE

When you join our Graduate Program, you join as a full-time permanent employee. So you know we're invested in you to transition from full-time study to full-time life!

Your development centres around 4 key elements:

Shine: Contribute from day one by working on real projects that impact our business and our customers, within Australia's largest bank.

Develop: Participate in market-leading training to develop your technical and soft skills. This will help with the transition to full-time work from university and ensure you excel in your immediate and future roles.

Network: Build networks and friendships through unparalleled access to senior leaders, project leads and program sponsors, enhancing your personal and business profile.

Contribute: Give back to the community through graduate initiatives, driving positive change across our organisation and improving the wellbeing of our graduate cohort.

Our 18 month program, offers a tailored experience with two 9 month rotations. In this stream, you'll do your first placement in Cyber teams. You can focus the program on Cyber disciplines or be supported to 'try something on for size' across Engineering or other Technology streams. Through these rotations, you'll gain an in-depth understanding of one of the largest and most complex technology environments in Australia, have continuous learning opportunities and be able to develop both your technical knowledge and commercial acumen.

You'll gain access to world-class technical and development resources to help you expand your skills. We are future focused with a high performance culture so continually building our people capability is integral to what we do. We have an inclusive culture where we want you to bring your best self to work and sharing ideas is encouraged amongst our community of talented and diverse people.
