Gender Equality at Daimler Truck and Bus

Daimler Truck & Bus Australia Pacific (DTBAuP) acknowledges that they operate in a traditionally male-dominated industry. In order to foster a gender-equal and diversified workplace, they are committed to challenging gender norms.

  • DTBAuP is recognised as an Employer of Choice for Gender Equality by the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA). For the second year running, DTBAuP continues to lead the way as the only Commercial Vehicle Company to be accredited within our Industry of Wholesale Trade.
  • DTBAuP continuously works towards closing their gender pay gap through different initiatives.
  • DTBAuP actively encourages women in leadership by supporting their progression through a dedicated Women at Work Program, designed to connect like-minded individuals and foster female talents with their career in the truck and bus industry.
  • After 12 months of service, DTBAuP offers at least 16 weeks of paid parental leave for primary carers regardless of gender, and 4 weeks for secondary carers, which can be utilised as desired – on a part-time basis or all at once. Said paid parental leave is available for the birth of a child, adoption, surrogacy or stillbirth.
  • A parent’s room with breastfeeding facilities is available onsite to support parents returning from parental leave.
