Gender Equality at Datacom Australia & New Zealand

Datacom has a very strong culture of Women in Leadership which is represented in our Global Leadership Team and board of Directors.

At Datacom, we take gender equality seriously. We submit anonymous pay data (as required by law) to WGEA every year to audit our policies and pay practices and assess how we compare to others in the industry. Like previous years, Datacom passed WGEA's 2023 standards and was issued a compliance certificate.

Datacom is also a proud partner of the Women Rising Program - Datacom partners with the program as part of its ongoing commitment to help women at all stages of their careers show up with authenticity, confidence, and leadership skills that will create breakthroughs not just for them but for Datacom’s continued success.

“The Women Rising Program is one of the most powerful and effective programs I have seen impact the lives and careers of women at Datacom,” said Alex Coates, Managing Director Australia, when asked about the program. “Every program graduate has progressed in their career, be it laterally or hierarchically, which is wonderful to watch and be a part of. It is programs like these that will help break through unconscious biases and create a more equitable future for all.”

The Program brings together an evidence-based curriculum, a supportive community, and expert coaching to drive remarkable outcomes. Designed for women, inclusive for all.

For our Early Careers talent we also have Women in Technology Meet-Ups and a Mentoring Programme all designed to empower and connect.

From a recruitment perspective we're a proud partner of #10KWāhine. An initiative to enable 10,000 women in New Zealand with new skills that will help them secure careers in the Technology sector.
