The Department of Education and Training is responsible for national policies and programs that help Australians access quality and affordable early child care and childhood education, school education, higher education, vocational education and training, international education and research.

Our Graduate Program

The graduate program runs for ten months beginning in February 2019 and concluding in December 2019 with promotion to the APS4 level upon successful completion. Graduates are provided with diverse work placements across the department that will help develop professional public sector skills that best suit your skills and interests. As a graduate within the Department of Education and Training, you will participate in the APSC Development Program and have opportunities to engage in additional learning and development opportunities based around the department's business throughout the program.
