I've found the work culture in my area to be good. They are supportive and flexible. Work culture varies, however, between sections and branches. In general my experiences have all been positive.

The culture really depends on what area you are in. DSS employees are professionals, and they work to high standards, but some areas are better than others at fostering productive relationships, cooperation etc. The structure and hierarchy of the APS takes a little while to get used to.
