Culture at Dulux Group

8.1
8.1 rating for Culture, based on 16 reviews
Please describe your company's culture both in the office and after hours. Let us know about the structure and hierarchy, cooperation and teamwork, and socialising amongst colleagues.
Office culture is quite casual within teams. Engaging with other teams can sometimes be more formal and is a bit more difficult. With many people having families and changing their work schedules accordingly, everyone is aware of work life balance.

I have always found the company culture at Dulux to be extremely positive. Everyone is very supportive and approachable regardless of their position within the company.

DuluxGroup is Hierarchical though my experience of the culture has been positive. My leaders within DGTech are approachable and always willing to help when needed as well as provide opportunities.

After hours non existent, however effort is made to socialise and engage during office hours.

The culture here is really nice. The company cares about the work-life balance here.

I would say that the culture isn't very strong from what I've seen. Co-workers are social and respectful which is good but there isn't much opportunity to interact with people from different offices and departments.

Extremely friendly company culture which makes me feel comfortable working with people inside and outside of my team

Great support, understanding and empathy between employees & employer. A safe and fun workplace that allows you to feel comfortable from day 1.

Dulux has a very flat structure, which is fantastic for a graduate. You can feel confident talking to anyone; from other graduates to senior managers. Marketing projects are often collaborative with people from all over the business - from supply chain to R&D to IT. This is fantastic exposure as a graduate, but also to understand how other departments run and what they do.

Depending on your work area it can be quite hierarchal. Teams are very friendly

Fantastic set of values and behaviours which everyone at the company follows and lives by.

Everyone is very friendly and is always happy to help each other out. There is strong socialisation between colleagues and teamwork both in teams and between members of different teams. The hierarchical structure is classified by scientists, direct managers, technical managers and technology director. As such, some individuals have expressed they feel there is little room for career development. Most managers are very relaxed when it comes to work hours and working from home, but others expect overtime during busier periods and offer no flexibility in regard to working from home.

Our company has a very good work culture in terms of collaboration and team work. We are encouraged to work in cross-functional teams and "break down silos" between our SBUs, because this helps foster innovation. Everyone was super helpful when I started and each time I have moved roles people are always open to questions. We have a pretty flat hierarchy and the senior managers are very approachable.
