Do you think the world can work better?

We do. At EY we like to look for smarter and better ways to do things. We like to ask, what if? Lasting achievements start with looking at things in a different way and that's what we're all about.

We'll provide you with experiences that'll shape your career for years to come. Because when you grow, we do too. With EY you can influence the future of your career, the businesses you work with and even the world you live in.

One decision, a lifetime of opportunity

As a Co-Op with EY you'll be able to add value to your clients and shape your career as a professional. From entrepreneurial start-ups to multinationals, we'll guide you on how to help our clients manage risk, address issues and capitalise on opportunities. And, we'll give you exposure to some of the largest clients and most interesting projects, both locally and globally.

When it comes to finding out what a global organisation's like, nothing compares to working there. During the Co-Op Program, you'll work with our clients, access our learning resources and gain experience similar to that of a first-year graduate. You will participate in our extensive training to build your technical and soft skills throughout the year. Our Co-Op Program allows you to work with us for between nine and twelve months before beginning your final year at university.

You'll enjoy the support of a 'buddy' to help you settle in and a counsellor to help you plan your development. You'll have your own areas of responsibility and may even be offered a full-time position with us after you graduate.

Our Melbourne Co-Op Program will commence in early 2019.

To be successful in the application process, you'll need to be highly motivated with a genuine interest in working with clients to handle complex issues and resolve challenges. You're team focused with strong analytical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You'll work with clients as soon as you start so you'll also need to be a confident communicator and passionate about client service excellence.

We're looking for:

We have Co-Op positions available in our Advisory, Assurance and Tax Service Lines.

  • If you're studying IT/IS, BAIS, software engineering or computer science you're encouraged to apply for Financial Services Advisory - Risk Assurance or Advisory Consultant Group (Risk) - Risk Assurance
  • If you're studying Accounting and/or Finance, you're encouraged to apply for Assurance - External Audit
  • If you're studying Accounting, Commerce, Finance, IT or law in combination with any of the aforementioned disciplines, you're encouraged to apply for Tax - Private Client Services

Eligibility

To apply for our Melbourne Co-Op Program, you are required to be:

  • In your penultimate year of study and willing to defer your studies for 2019 to undertake the full-time placement OR
  • Required to complete a one year placement with an employer prior to your final year of university studies
  • An Australian or New Zealand citizen or an Australian permanent resident. International students are not eligible to apply for the Melbourne Co-Op Year Program
