Your Role

• Contribute to the overall success of the team by developing a thorough understanding of EY methodologies and tools to enhance service delivery.
• Challenging traditional procedures and finding new approaches to provide tax services.
• Providing compliance work products and assisting management with client deliverables.
• Building client relationships and demonstrating your knowledge of Indirect Tax and the real estate industry.
• Staying abreast of state and local tax developments and working to develop new and innovative service offerings that can provide value to clients.
• Participating in client meetings and working within teams to deliver fully integrated services.

Salary & Benefits

This role's estimated pay ranges from $62,000 to $84,000 per year. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements depending on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

About You

• A predicted undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting or an advanced degree in Tax or Law.
• A demonstratable plan for passing the CPA exam or a US state Bar exam.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Tax technical skills and experience in tax research, writing, and compliance.
• Knowledge of flow-through entity taxation, REIT taxation, state income and franchise taxes, and real estate transfer taxes preferred.
• Understanding of VBA and/or process improvement is preferred.
• Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver’s license is strongly recommended as ride-share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.
