Your role

About the team:

Their Technical Accounting Advisory Group (TAAG) is a national speciality practice within Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) and works with many of the world’s largest organizations and fastest–growing companies on some of the most complex accounting issues in the market — an experience they leverage to provide tailored advice to clients of all sizes. By leveraging their deep technical knowledge and extensive experience, they help simplify complex accounting and reporting problems and provide practical recommendations so that their clients’ finance teams can focus on supporting their businesses. 

The nature of this role means no two project assignments will be the same. That means you must think on your feet and challenge existing practices to develop answers to complex issues. You’ll also collaborate with colleagues across multiple service lines, so they’ll look to you to build relationships and identify opportunities for their clients to benefit from their knowledge in other areas.    

Your key responsibilities:

  • Consulting with clients on complex and technical accounting issues.
  • Collaborating with partners, senior managers and clients to influence strategy, balancing risk and client expectations.
  • Ensuring their Engagement team thoroughly understands our client’s unique needs, ambitions and expectations.
  • Building relationships with colleagues across multiple service lines to provide seamless integrated service.
  • Managing performance and identifying opportunities to improve their products and processes.

    Salary & benefits

    The compensation for the role will range from $34.62 to $37.98 per hour.

    Successful candidates will assist PPMDs in researching and resolving US GAAP, IFRS and SEC technical questions and drafting related documentation.     Qualifications:

    • Have or be working toward, a bachelor’s or graduate degree in Accounting, along with the drive and pre-qualifications to achieve CPA certification.
    • Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS standards.
    • A strong desire to broaden your technical skills.
    • Strong verbal communication, presentation and writing skills.
    • Ability and comfort in researching accounting inquiries and analyzing emerging issues relating to accounting standards and industry practices.
    • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
    • The ability and willingness to travel and work more than standard hours when necessary.
    • Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver’s license is strongly recommended as ride-share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.
