  • Banking & Financial Services

The Future Insure Graduate Program is your ticket to starting a career in Insurance.

You’ve possibly never thought about a career in Insurance before, and you’re not alone. With no clear pathway into the industry, Graduates often don’t think about it as an option. But let us tell you this; the Insurance industry is one of the most varied and rewarding industries to be a part of.

The Future Insure Graduate Program offers you a full-time permanent opportunity working with a market leading Insurance businesses in claims, broking and underwriting. You’ll be supported in a structured program while you learn and gain formal Insurance qualifications. With 12 Program Partners to choose from you’ll be a part of a Graduate network and a supportive community.

The Future Insure Story:

The award-nominated Future Insure Graduate Program is hosted by Fuse Recruitment. We discovered our Clients were struggling to engage graduate talent, as there is no specific degree or clear pathway into the Insurance industry.

We wanted to use our knowledge of recruitment to create a graduate program that not only met our clients’ needs but would give Graduates the best chance of finding the right employer to begin their career. We know it’s not a one size fits all when it comes to matching job seekers and employers, so we established Future Insure to provide a strong link between those looking for a new career and our Program Partners.

Finding a graduate job is extremely competitive, and you don’t always end up with an offer from your first, or even second choice. Future Insure gives you the chance to meet with 12 Program Partners, discover their businesses, the culture, career prospects, and training and development opportunities – it’s like applying for 12 different graduate opportunities all rolled into one!

Why Choose Insurance?

The Insurance industry is valued at $8.3Trillion globally and is the second largest industry in Australia. It is crucial to life as we know it, and a vital component to securing our social and economic future. Insurance protects our health, our homes, the cars we drive; and if you’re David Beckham it protects your legs, feet and toes!

86% of Insurance professionals under the age of 35 would recommend joining the Insurance industry, and with attractive salaries and growth across all specialisations, it’s an industry that’s not slowing down.

Where Can You Work?

Although there are many areas of Insurance, Future Insure focuses on three key areas; broking, underwriting and claims.

Broking: A trusted adviser and integral client partner; Brokers are the link between the client and the insurer, ensuring both parties get the outcome they need. Working on behalf of the customer, Brokers will be responsible for identifying and analysing client risk, preparing policy quotes and renewals, creating new business opportunities, liaising with clients, insurers and other industry service providers, and providing customer service, particularly around claims management.

Underwriting: Product & Underwriting roles cover a range of specialist functions including Actuarial, Product Management, Pricing, Reinsurance and Underwriting Services. Product & Underwriting areas cover activities such as pricing, product development, reinsurance, portfolio management and compliance. The Product & Underwriting area ensures that a product range meets the changing demands of customers whilst achieving profitability targets for the business. In an environment which offers the opportunity to interact with all parts of the business and clients directly, Underwriters work with a dedicated and professional team. Underwriters can directly impact business results and enjoy a challenging and rewarding area of insurance.

Claims: It’s all about managing claims efficiently and effectively and delivering excellent customer service at the customer’s greatest time of need. Within that broad scope, there is a variety of experiences — everything from managing your own portfolio of claims to assessing motor claims on the road!
Future Insure Graduates do not need a degree in any particular field, we hire grads from all backgrounds!
