  • As a Recruitment Consultant / Talent Specialist, you will be rewarded for your performance - Yes, it is true!  With uncapped commissions our team are driven to perform to receive our generous commissions, rewarding them for the efforts they put in. You will have the potential to double your salary and more! We have a new graduate this year on track to earn $100,000 in their very successful first year of post-graduate employment.

The not so good bits

  • Cold calling - is not for everyone, one of the most challenging parts of the role is sales.
  • KPI's – what you put in, is what you get out – so you have to be prepared to put the effort in. We ultimately focus on getting to know your client and sector and truly consulting rather than volumes, but you still have targets to meet. We are KPI supported, not KPI driven.
  • Autonomous – whilst attractive to many, some find it hard to navigate their own success. Being a Talent Specialist at Hudson is like running your own business. We give you the training, tools support and freedom to be successful – unfortunately, this doesn't work for everyone.
  • We are a national business and therefore your direct leader and the team may sit in another office, but we remain connected.

The Hudson Story

Hudson has provided HR solutions for over 30 years. In 2018 our local Australia Executive Leadership team conducted a management buy-out of the Asia Pacific Hudson business and set a bold Vision "To re-imagine talent solutions, harnessing the world's best data-driven insights to accelerate performance in the evolving world of work".

In 2020 this vision led us to embark upon a journey to fundamentally change the way we do business and shift our focus to meeting the specific jobs our clients told us they needed and wanted to be done.

After nearly a year of talking to our clients, getting their feedback, and refining our business model and strategy, the new Hudson emerged on 1 April 2021 as a portfolio of 7 businesses that have greater autonomy to be agile and adapt to the unique needs of their clients, candidates, and market conditions.

One business within the portfolio is our Hudson Technology, Projects & Transformation. Our vision in Technology, Projects & Transformation is to be the #1 contracting platform for tech, digital and transformation roles, providing clients with unrivalled access to deep, specialised local and remote Talent Pools, and candidates with the best platform to find their next role.

As a business we are open to innovation and new ideas, we look to data insights to further drive our strategy, and we are passionate about ensuring we have an environment where no idea is off-limits.

At Hudson, we believe we have a responsibility to support and encourage community initiatives and charitable activities.
Hudson has established the 'Helping Hands' employee volunteer program which provides employees with paid leave to donate their time and expertise to community initiatives.
In addition, our Corporate Giving program allows for in-kind giving in response to natural disasters or other instances of extreme need.
We have a team focused on planning our charity and social contributions going forward.

People think we are a Global firm. Since our management buyout in 2018, we are an APAC business. One of the beauties of this is that with a global presence and brand recognition whilst having the agility of a boutique – you sit next to the owners after all!

Career prospects

We have clearly defined career goals - in two streams - firstly the leadership stream and secondly as an individual contributor.

You will never be in doubt about your next promotion and what you need to do to get there. You will be supported by our training programs to ensure you get to where you want to go, as quick as you can.

Starting as a Talent Sourcing Specialist or a Talent Specialist, together with our bespoke, in-house training program, you will be well supported in your journey.

Our Technology, Projects & Transformation business is divided into five specialist disciplines in which you will be an expert within;

  • Data & Analytics – Data Science, Data Engineer
  • Digital – Software Engineers, UX & Product, Architecture
  • Enterprise Applications – SAP, MS Dynamics
  • Operations Technology – DevOps, Cloud, Security
  • Projects & Transformation – Project and Change Management, Business Analysis, Agile

Graduate Salaries

$55,000-60,000 plus superannuation plus commissions – you can easily double your salary – with one recent graduate showing how you can successfully earn over $100,000 in your first year in the role.
