Diversity at Ixom
- Average rating for Diversity, based on 8 reviews8.0 / 10
Please provide further information on diversity with respect to women, ethnic minorities and LGBT. Please comment on issues such as recruitment, retention, promotion, child care, maternity leave, etc.
From what I have seen the company has a good attitude towards diversity with respect to staff hired, cultures represented, and the lengths we go to solve our customers' challenges.
Graduate, Mt Maunganui
The company has a varied workforce in terms of diversity, especially considering people from different countries. My particular workplace is quite male dominated. That said, I haven't seen any sort of bias to either gender in terms of treatment of promotional opportunities.
The company's focus is on results, they don't really care what your background is. They even consider flying employees from overseas into Australia. Everyone is friendly and respectful to each other.
What does your company do to attract applicants from less privileged backgrounds?
Through an Ixom EDGE Community Grant, Ixom is supporting our next generation of scientists. We just sponsored students to compete in the Physics Olympiad overseas, helping them achieve their potential. I believe this will help attract students of all backgrounds to apply for our company.
