About the Opportunity: Undergraduate Transport Modeller & Data Scientist

 As an Undergraduate Engineer at Jacobs, you will apply your transport modelling skills to devise and deliver practical and economical solutions to problems. Working alongside a team of professionals, you will conduct investigations and prepare and present modelling studies to clients to meet their technical competencies.

Our reputation in strategic transport planning and modelling has been established by some of the industry’s leading practitioners. This is an opportunity to join a market leader and work on iconic projects and help shape local, regional and international transport systems, whilst also building on your skills developed at University.

 Due to a strong pipeline of work and continued focus on further developing our successful business we are looking for an Intern with a strong interest in Transport modelling to join our highly skilled and collegiate team. This position will take a central role in assisting the team in delivering transport modelling services to our local clients including government agencies and the private sector.

About you

The successful candidate will:

  • Complete your degree in 2019 (Engineering, Transport Planning, Math's, IT, Data Science or similar)
  • Be technically inquisitive
  • Possess strong leadership skills
  • Have the ability to work independently and in a team to learn from another perspective
  • Communicate exceptionally well
  • Ask questions and challenge the norm
  • Be able to commence on 19 November 2018 and work through to March 2019
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or an Australian permanent resident
