Curious about careers in investment banking and equity research?

Gain practical work experience alongside some of the best in the industry, with Jarden’s summer Internship Program. This internship will provide you with world-class training and hands-on experience in a rapidly growing investment bank, learning from some of the most experienced bankers and research analysts in Australia.

You’ll be closely involved in our investment banking functions, with exposure to high-profile transactions for both Australian and international clients.

You will work across a range of activities, including mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets, and debt capital markets, as well as other strategic and corporate finance assignments. Your responsibilities will involve tasks including (but not limited to) financial modelling and analysis, company research, presentations and reports.

Working alongside a friendly, driven, and talented team, our internship program can prepare you for a successful career in financial services.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for interns who are:

  • Self-starters who will thrive in an entrepreneurial culture
  • Critical and creative thinkers who seek to challenge themselves
  • High achievers with a strong drive for results
  • Collaborative team players who can build and sustain strong relationships
  • Leaders who take ownership and motivate others
  • Effective communicators who can clearly articulate ideas, problems, questions, and solutions
  • Ethical and who personify the Jarden values

Streams:

  • Investment Banking - As part of our Investment Banking team you will gain valuable practical experience working across a broad spectrum of industries and product groups, and gain exposure to a range of mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt capital markets transactions.
  • Equities Research - As part of the Equities Research team, you will partner with and be rotated amongst a variety of sector specialist and coverage areas. By the end of the program, you will produce a distinct research report, and have built a variety of financial and data analysis skills.

Program Structure

The Internship Program runs for 3 months (full time), commencing late November 2023. You will kick off with induction and training, before launching into the program’s work component. This will include a group project which you will pitch at the end of the internship.

You will be buddied-up with a first or second-year Analyst, as well as being assigned a Senior Associate or VP as your Mentor. This structure is designed to provide ample access to support and feedback, and to help you build strong connections with your peers and the Jarden team.

  • Melbourne: 19 July 2023
  • Sydney: 2 August 2023

We encourage you to apply early, as we will be moving candidates through to the next stage of recruitment on a rolling basis.
