Diversity and Inclusion at Jetstar

The Jetstar Inclusion & Diversity Strategy’s main objective is to drive better business outcomes and improved employee experience through shared accountability for inclusion and diversity.

Gender

Jetstar has targets in place for female representation across in positions across the company including a dedicated focus on engineering, pilot and leadership positions.

  • Jetstar has a partnership with the Australian Business Community Network (ABCN) who facilitate mentoring and work experience programs with primary and secondary aged girls where our team volunteer. 
  • Jetstar created an employee-led gender equality network, Altitude, which provides networking, events and information for all employees.

Indigenous

  • To deliver on the Reconciliation Action Plan, Jetstar partners with CareerTrackers to provide internships through all areas of the company. 
  • Jetstar offers Indigenous Cultural competency training programs.
  • Jetstar recognises and celebrates key Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander dates including Reconciliation Week and Naidoc Week.

LGBTI+

  • Jetstar is a proud sponsor of the Midsumma Festival and actively participate in the Midsumma Carnival and Pride March. 
  • Their employee-led LGBTI+ network, Illuminate, aims to develop an open and inclusive culture that enables LGBTI+ team members from across the Jetstar globally to bring their whole and true selves to work each and everyday. The network is for both LGBTI+ identifying team members and Allies.
