2019 John Holland Graduate Program – Sustainability and Environment
John Holland is a fully integrated infrastructure and property group. Operating across Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia, we have been transforming city skylines, connecting regional centres and providing vital infrastructure for more than six decades. We are committed to being recognised by our employees, customers and other stakeholders as an industry leader in environmental management across the diverse projects to deliver sustainable solutions.
Our John Holland Global Graduate Program provides an opportunity to gain well-rounded experience both in technical and soft skills, whilst working for one of Australia's leading and most diverse engineering, construction and services providers. We are proud that many of our past graduates are now in various senior roles throughout the business and we look forward to developing the next leader in you.
Throughout the two-year program you will be supported through soft skills development, on-the-job experience and training, and opportunities to build lasting relationships with senior leaders representing John Holland's diverse operations. Our projects are located in both metropolitan and regional areas, so it is essential that you are prepared to relocate if required.
As a Sustainability and Environment Graduate your key accountabilities include assisting with the implementation of project environment and sustainability programs to ensure adherence with relevant environmental legislation, regulations, contractual obligations, sustainability requirements and John Holland Health, Safety and Environmental procedures.
You will play an important part in making this vision a reality and shaping the future of John Holland. As part of this Sustainability pathway we are continually looking for new solutions and innovations on our projects and at a business level, graduates are tasked with this challenge throughout the duration of the graduate program. You will have the opportunity to undertake frequent surveillance on site to ensure that all environmental obligations are implemented and maintained. You will be providing advice and guidance to the design, construction, commercial aspects, operations and other key project team in relation to sustainability requirements. You will support and champion a culture of thinking across the project and John Holland to help achieve the sustainability, environmental, social, financial and governance goals of our customers and communities.
We understand that our greatest resource is our people. We pride ourselves on being a market leader in targeting training, career development and remuneration. We provide long-term career options within an equal opportunity workplace where we recognise the importance of flexibility and a healthy work-life balance.
It's an exciting time for us, with billions of dollars of work to deliver. We need the right people with the right attitude to help us succeed.
