What projects/initiatives does your employer run and what have you worked on personally?
Landgate has a variety of initiatives that aims to give back to the community, such as the Aspire program which is currently working on the renaming of our meeting rooms in traditional noongar language. As part of the Strategic Communications team we are assisting with the display of the commissioned artwork around the building, of which I am personally working on. Some additional initiatives Landgate engages in are: LandGive (organised approached to charity donations) International Women's Day sponsorships School mentoring HackEd - in school Hacks run by SPUR

In my department, our projects are mainly updating state data and improving it for others to use. I personally have supported the geodesists by doing the ground-level work for them so they can focus more of their time on the more complex procedures.

Landgate does give opportunities for its employees to give back to the community. One initiative involves mentoring high school kids at selected schools. I think this initiative is much needed and a great opportunity to get involved in the local community.

Landgate is implementing a Reconciliation Action Plan and altering recruitment prospects for people from diverse backgrounds. There have been numerous events with funds being donated to a charity that aligns with our values.
