Louis Dreyfus Company Australia is a fully owned subsidiary of Louis Dreyfus Company, a global merchandiser of commodities, a major asset owner and processor of agricultural goods. As the oldest continually operating grain trading company in Australia, Louis Dreyfus Company has a proud heritage of unparalleled commitment to Australian agriculture.
Our business today
LDC has been a significant buyer and exporter of grain and cotton for many years. More recently, the scope of our activities has significantly increased with the successful launch of several new business lines (“platforms”) in Australia, including Dairy, Sugar, Oilseeds, Metals and the latest, Fertilizers & Inputs.
The Company has also invested in a wide range of infrastructure to support its operations in grain, cotton and fertilizers.
Grain growers in NSW can deliver directly to our efficient handling facilities at Narrabri, Newcastle and Moree all year round. These facilities are an intrinsic part of the Louis Dreyfus Company integrated supply chain destined for export markets.
A well-developed network of fertilizer warehouses in Western Australia, and storage sheds in South Australia and Victoria, provides an attractive option for growers to bring fertilizers to their farms as they move their crops to port. Cotton is also received and ginned at our Dalby (QLD) and Moree (NSW) warehouses, and prepared for export to international markets.
Global Graduate Program
As part of our global approach to talent management, Louis Dreyfus Company Australia supports the Global Graduate Program, which provides opportunities for graduates to develop skills within our industry, allowing us to build a strong talent pool.
