Designed for STEM, or female students from any degree discipline, in their penultimate year of study, the Macquarie Captial Winter Development Program is an exciting 3-week paid internship where you will gain exposure to our global corporate mergers and acquisitions, advisory, investing, development, and equities capabilities. 

You will join the Macquarie Capital team based in Melbourne. Throughout the program, you will gain valuable insights across our full spectrum of capital solutions from debt, equity, and private capital raising and financing to investing our own capital to enable growth. 

You will be supported and mentored by your peers and leaders, learning through formal training sessions and on the job. 

No prior financial experience is required, just an innate curiosity and eagerness to learn.  

As part of the Winter Development Program, you will: 

  • be awarded a 3-week paid internship, along with $A5,000 
  • take part in an orientation with other students from the program 
  • receive training sessions and workshops to develop your technical and soft skills, such as personal branding and communication 
  • gain insights into the workings of real deals and transactions 
  • be assigned a buddy and mentor to guide you throughout your internship 
  • learn from a successful team including recent graduates and senior leaders  

You will also be considered for our 10–12-week 2022/2023 Summer Internship program. 

To be eligible for the program, you must be in your penultimate year of study and be available to work in July.
