Culture at Mainfreight Australia

9.3
9.3 rating for Culture, based on 17 reviews
Please describe your company's culture both in the office and after hours. Let us know about the structure and hierarchy, cooperation and teamwork, and socialising amongst colleagues.
Mainfreight has a wonderful culture, the offices are open plan which makes communication easier. There are social events such as fun runs held on weekends for the teams to get together.

The culture is one of inclusiveness but also hard work. We are there to get the job done and if you want to just clock on and clock off then it's the wrong business for you. Excellence is noticed in this business but you have to be your own champion and put your hand up. Nobody will spoon-feed your career progression. Your managers are far more accessible than you think and you just need to pick up the phone to get things done.

The culture is working together as a team, everyone is approachable and no one is higher than the other. The office is an open plan, as we are a team regardless of your role. At work we are a family, we have lunch together, we support one another in the office and after hours. Definitely a teamwork environment, it is easy to socialise with any team member.

There is a very big emphasis on culture, we don't take ourselves seriously. There is a very low power distance so you feel like you can approach anyone regardless of where they sit in the business.

The company's culture is amazing. The teams all work well together and we always have a good laugh. Even when things get stressful we all pull together to help each other out. The best part is getting to Friday arvo and unwinding with the team over a beer and letting the weeks hecticness wash over us.

Low bureaucracy, informal and positive.

Very family oriented and everyone enjoys each other's company.

Usually, there is no hierarchy or bureaucracy as per Mainfreight pillars. The team are a family here which extends outside the office.

Very horizontal hierarchy. Senior management are all very approachable. Office hours can be long if you are a dedicated worker who wants to excel in the business however for those that just do the 9-5 are not necessarily frowned upon either.
Midlevel, Sydney
Very flat hierarchical structure, open discussions with great opportunities for progression. Social aspect dependent upon the branch, however, our current one is very positive and social.
