The Monadelphous Way

People are our most valuable asset. We know we are stronger when we draw from diverse cultures, perspectives, experiences and skills. Therefore, attracting, developing and retaining the right people is vital to our success. We are committed to ensuring our workforce is reflective of the communities in which we operate.

Your Opportunity

We at Monadelphous are more than just another company, we’re a family.

As a Monadelphous Graduate, you'll do real, “hands-on” work, receive on-the-job training and experience a variety of projects and rotations with ongoing mentoring and support.

You’ll be encouraged to drive your own development and can influence when you complete the graduate program, be it in 18 months or 36. You’ll have access to our emerging leader program, work across world-class projects with industry leaders and be offered a range of development opportunities to progress your career.

The Program

From catching flights to far-flung destinations to coffee catch-ups with your new work family or getting hands-on experience learning new skills on the job, the Monadelphous Graduate Program guarantees to offer you an adventure of a lifetime.

Our business delivers services through two main divisions; Engineering Construction and Maintenance & Industrial Services, both of which are underpinned by a Corporate support function. As a graduate, you’ll have the opportunity to move throughout the business, so that you get a broad experience across a range of locations, projects and teams.

If you are an Engineering, Construction Management or Health, Safety & Environment Graduate, you will be “hands-on” involved in the practical management of our projects, such as executing a fixed plant shut-down, coordinating subcontractors on high profile resource and infrastructure projects, or forecasting revenue and costs.

Our roles require us to be on-site amongst the action and executing our clients’ designs. Wherever you are based, you’ll obtain practical work experience with regular mentoring and feedback, to ensure you achieve your goals and complete the Graduate Program.

The Future

Our Graduates are the future leaders of our organisation. So, when you join our program, you will not only become part of the Monadelphous family, but we will help you become someone who will shape the future of our business.

TEN GREAT REASONS TO JOIN US

  1. EXPERIENCE REAL WORK - At Monadelphous you won’t sit behind a desk all day, instead you’ll gain hands-on experience. Majority of our graduates will go-to site, getting exposure to some of the world’s largest Oil & Gas, Mining and Infrastructure projects.
  2. ONGOING SUPPORT - You'll receive formal training with continuous guidance and support from your peers and mentors, every step of the way.
  3. TRAVEL AND ADVENTURE - You never know where you could end up or what you might be doing. From working on large scale shutdowns to regional renewable energy projects to some of Australia’s largest construction projects – the opportunities are endless, and experiences will be far beyond what you imagined. See Courtney’s story on page 12 & 13 to read about her adventures as one of our graduates.
  4. FLEXIBILITY - You can expect a structured, competency-based development program that offers you the flexibility to progress at your own pace.
  5. TEAM THAT IS FAMILY - The Mono’s workplace culture is like no other. You’ll be working with a team that feels like family, so no matter where you are, you’ll never feel alone.
  6. MENTORING - At Monadelphous we have people that have worked for global operators, people with international experience, and some that have enjoyed their time so much at Monadelphous that they never left. Either way, you’ll get to work alongside and learn from some of the most talented and respected professionals in the industry.
  7. INDUSTRY LEADERS - Renowned for delivery and service excellence, we’re perceived as leaders in our field, and not just by our customers, by our peers and competitors too. So there’s no doubt that completing a Graduate Program with Monadelphous will be a truly great start to your career.
  8. DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES - We’re a perfect size - big enough to be involved with some of Australia’s biggest and most complex projects but small enough that you’ll be noticed and recognised as a top talent that we want to progress.
  9. CHALLENGE – We’ll challenge and support you to achieve your long-term goals, be it becoming a subject matter expert, developing leadership skills or working towards achieving chartered status through the relevant professional bodies.
  10. JOB SECURITY - If you impress, then there’s the opportunity to secure ongoing employment at the end of the Graduate Program.

  • The culture and the people. Everyone is super supportive and encouraging and always there to give a hand or answer any questions.
  • Inclusive, Promotive, Encouraging
  • I was attracted to the company since they are a Contractor. Every job is different which can make the work more interesting and more challenging.
  • Monos has covered course costs and materials, bicycle lockers, gym in the building at very low rate, reasonably active social club, subsidised Adventure World tickets for family fun day.
  • I was attracted to the company since they are a Contractor. Every job is different which can make the work more interesting and more challenging.
  • FIFO rosters aren't always ideal but necessary for site experience.
  • Can be a lot of responsibility when first starting as a grad
  • Since they are contractors, sometimes changes are inevitable. You get told that you're going to this site at this time but it can change at short notice.
  • Sometimes processes are not taught to the graduates and when given a new task it is expected of us to understand how to do it automatically.
  • Limited graduate support resources mean you need to be proactive and drive your own development
