Our vacation placement scheme is one of the good ways for you to get to know us and decide if we are the best practice for you to develop your career in. We would like to invite students who wish to become part of our team after graduation to join our vacation placement scheme.

A placement will give you first hand experience of our work and working style. We offer two types of placement. There is one programme for those from a non-law background and another for those from a law background. The non-law scheme is targeted at those in the final year of university and beyond, who have studied a non-law degree, and is held in December over two weeks. The law programme is aimed at those who are studying or have studied law, and runs for four weeks in the summer.

Our placement programme runs for four weeks in the summer and winter and it is highly structured and designed to give you a feel for what life as a trainee is like with us. Each placement participant sits with either a partner or an associate to experience life as a city solicitor. Whether you're attending client meetings, going to court or doing office-based legal work, you'll be able to make a practical and valuable contribution to your team. Talks, exercises and projects are designed to give you full exposure to the practice and the various types of work we do.

We look for applications from candidates with law degree, who demonstrate a consistently strong academic record. You are expected to have or be expecting at least an upper second class degree or equivalent. We look for people who are team players, with excellent interpersonal skills.
