      Norton Rose Fulbright is currently seeking motivated and driven law students to complete our clerkship during the summer break in our Perth office. Completing a Clerkship with us will be a rewarding and enjoyable career-defining experience. You will get the first-hand experience of what it is like to work at a large legal practice and also get to know our Partners and employees and experience our culture of open communication and teamwork.

      You will be joining us at an exciting time as we are working on some of Australia and the worlds most complex, high profile legal matters. You won't be watching it from the sidelines, you will be heavily involved and get to experience firsthand the nature of our work we do everyday, see how we engage with our clients and play an important role in how collaboratively work with each other to solve complex legal matters.

      About the program

      • Ten-week long program where you will complete two four week rotations in different teams across our firm
      • A comprehensive national induction program with your fellow clerks across the country
      • Access to our award-winning Learning & Development programs including legal skills training, systems training, soft skills workshops and practice group-specific information sessions
      • Participate in our national pro bono clerkship project
      • Access to our Senior Leaders and Partners in a number of practice area presentations
      • A variety of social events to build your rapport as a clerkship cohort and become truly embedded in our firm culture

      Our clerkship program is closely linked with our Graduate Program. Completing a Clerkship allows to potentially secure a Graduate position with us in 2023.

      Professional Certificate

      Practical Legal Training (PLT) is a structured training program designed to help you develop the practical, day-to-day skills you will need as an entry-level lawyer.
      Entry Requirements

      You can start your Practical Legal Training if you have completed all Priestley 11 core subjects of your law degree – with no more than two electives remaining. 

      To start your Practical Legal Training before completing your law degree, you will need to seek approval from the admitting authority in your state.
