Working Hours at Nova Systems

8.4
8.4 rating for Working Hours, based on 32 reviews
How flexible is your company when it comes to hours?
Nova has a very generous Flexible Work Arrangement policy which allows employees to manage where they work and start/finish times.

I work from 8-4:30pm on the average day. I take only 30 minutes for lunch, which is against the suggested 1hr. This is because I would rather not spend 9 hours in the workplace. The mandated 8 hour work day feel excessive and leads to poor balance. We are within rights to flex our start/finish times so long as we are active between 10-3 as our core hours. This is fine but ineffective due to the 8 hour day required.

The company is very flexible with WFH or office hours once established in the business which is a big contributor to my satisfaction working for this company.

Pretty good flexibility. Nova allows for hybrid work flexibility, and flexible work arrangements. For example, you can start working whenever you want for the day, as long as you are active during the core hours of '10am-3pm'. Nova Systems also discourages working overtime from your contracted 40 hours. If we are on client-side and Nova see's that we have been working longer than the contracted 40 hours, they will step in and ensure that we are not being mistreated.

As long as we complete the required hours per week they seem to be happy.

I'm a mix. I would like to be motivated to be in the office more often, but I find with a lack of work at times, it's better just to work from home. Not just my opinion but the phrase "there's almost no point" gets tossed around. Keep my WFH days down to about 2 and will work from the office the rest. I do like the flexibility with WFH but I don't want to make a habit of it.

40hrs is the company policy. Typically 9-5 or 8-4 depending on the arrange in place with line managers. But there is flexibility if you need time off or to finish earlier to make up time on other days as long as it doesn't affect the client.

We have 40 hours work week. The work hour is very flexible as long as we communicate with the line manager.

Nova is very flexible with regards to working from home. I work 2 days client site and one day in the Nova office and this balance is great for me.

The company is especially flexible, however being client-based it is restrictive due to the client itself. The work I do does not allow me to work from the Nova office due to security reasons, so I wish I could be in the Nova office more often.

8 hours, as long as I meet 40 hours a week there is no issues.

9am-5pm for Nova Systems. 8am-4pm for client work. Nova Systems as a company is very flexible, however, it is extremely dependent on the client you are working for. Some clients are MUCH less flexible than others.

Nova Systems has implemented a flexible working arrangement to ensure people can build and maintain a work/life balance. While the client's needs still need to be adhered to, Nova will support wherever possible a mix up WFH and in o_ce/on site time. I personally work for a VIC/CBR client while based in QLD, so it's up to me to decide when I want to go to the QLD o_ce versus WFH.

Work 40 hours a week. That's 40 working hours, not 40 hours logged in. So additional hours required when you exclude breaks etc. The company is flexible with hours in that if you have something come up, it is more than acceptable to make up the hours another day or time. and they are quite flexible in letting you work from home. They request that you spend at least 3 days a week in the o_ce.

My company is very flexible with how I work. I have the opportunity to work from home and work my hours flexibly to fit in with my lifestyle. The company has a real focus on work-life balance.

I usually work 2-3 days in the office, with the remainder at home. My weeks are usually 40 hours, sometimes more if I have a busy week with my project and also have to do Nova work as well.

Very flexible hours

My company is flexible with my hours and how I work. However I would prefer 37.5 hours of work rather than the 40 hours for the same pay. I think there is a big return for doing the national average hours.
