What are your thoughts on pay and bonuses at your company?
For an entry level graduate role, I am paid extremely well compared to other people I know working in the public sector in legal. I'm not aware of any bonuses, but I feel my pay is good enough that a lack of bonus doesn't affect me.
Graduate, Sydney
I am currently on a lower salary than the Student Legal Officer role that I had with the NSW Government. However, I have heard of other legal employers offering lower salaries to graduates.

Pay is per award rate at your level which is fair. Do not get bonuses as far as I am aware
Graduate, Sydney
The pay is pretty standard for a graduate and there are no bonuses that I know of.

My pay isn't high, but I am only a graduate and I am still learning a lot. I expect once I have completed this program that I will be able to progress to a higher position with higher pay.

It's transparent, so you know where you are and what you are aiming for. It isn't the biggest wage but you could do much worse. There are no bonuses of any type, which is one thing you have to live with in the Public Service.

Happy with the Salary and the possibility of promotions

I work in the public sector and I am not expecting any bonus pay for working in this position. I value how my employer supports me through working from home, respecting my time and supporting my sense of belonging. For pay, I think this graduate role is competitive but for digital stream it could be higher, but again I do not think those companies values align with mine.
Graduate, Sydney
The pay is very reasonable for the work, but I would be happy to work more hours for a higher pay.
Graduate, Parramatta
Pay is lower than what I was on, but I am on a Graduate Program. I don't know how bonuses would work in the public service.
Graduate, Orange
Solid salary comparative to other programs.
Graduate, Sydney
No bonuses because its the government, but the pay is pretty good! I have a friend that is a graduate at ANZ Bank and she gets paid less.
Graduate, Sydney
Pay is very competitive, and higher than most graduate programs. Pay is based on grades and is fully transparent (you can find the pay of all grades and levels on the NSW government website).
Graduate, Sydney
Remuneration and benefits are very fair, especially for someone 'fresh' out of university.
Graduate, Gosford
No bonuses. Pay similar or slightly better compared to other companies for graduates.

I like the locations where the offices are located and their facilities. You can also work from other locations.

I guess that we can bank overtime hours and once we accrue enough hours, we can take paid days off.
Graduate, Sydney
Best perk is flex leave. Any time that you work over the 7 hours a day accrues as flex leave, which you can take like regular leave. Note the rules around flex leave depend on what award you are on. Great learning opportunities. Lots of workshops and webinars to learn things and meet new people. Get to go to the zoo.
