Do you like shooting the shit on ideas? Does your Tinder opening line make hearts melt?

Swipe right, it’s a match.

We’re on the hunt for a creative RAD GRAD to assist the Strategy & Response team in their day-to-day duties, working across Pedestrian.TV, VICE, Refinery29, Business Insider, Gizmodo, Lifehacker & Kotaku. The Strategy & Response team advises the world’s biggest brands on how to connect with youth culture across Pedestrian Group titles. We track trends, we look for changes in behaviour patterns, we shoot the shit on ideas and we work with other teams across the business to pitch a final recommendation.

About RAD Grads:

RAD GRADS is a 12-week fully paid in-house graduate training program dedicated to giving young Aussies from underrepresented communities – including Indigenous Australians, those from culturally or linguistically diverse backgrounds, who live with a disability (seen or unseen) and/or who identify as LGBTQIA+ – the tools and techniques required for a rewarding career in digital publishing.

While full-time employment at Pedestrian Group isn’t a guarantee at the completion of the RAD GRADS program, Rad Graduates will be considered for any full-time open roles that are appropriate to their strengths and interests.

Your Primary Duties:

  • Assist the team in the creation of strategic proposals by collecting & analysing data.
  • Attending brainstorming sessions and creative workshops.
  • Help develop creative work that resonates with a range of audiences across different sites.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to brief in & deliver collateral within deadlines.

Favoured Skills:

  • Curiosity: do you find yourself diving into pop-cultural rabbit holes on the internet?
  • Analytical: can you build a compelling story using stats?
  • Copywriting: can the words you write make people feel things?

Benefits:

As a Pedestrian Group employee, you will enjoy perks like company events, wellness programs, career development courses and a flexible work-life balance. But most importantly, you’ll work alongside inspiring colleagues who will encourage you to be your best self.

  • Wellness - Our company’s Culture Club organises monthly yoga, meditation and tai chi sessions both virtually and IRL, and provides mental health support to all staff, so we’re all Namaste Positive.
  • Health & Fitness - Our Good Sports and Good Cooks company initiatives gives staff the opportunity to sign up for a seasonal sport of their choosing or display their culinary brilliance. Whether that be Netball, Basketball, handmade Gnocchi or even Axe Throwing, it’s up to you!
  • Charity & Fundraising - Pay It Forward is Pedestrian Group’s charity and community program, where we use our unique set of skills to help raise funds and awareness for issues affecting Aussie youth.
  • Work-life balance - We offer our employees flexible working arrangements and generous leave options for big life events and travel.
  • Career Development - We provide our staff opportunities for personal and professional growth. Be that through our monthly guest speaker series PEDTALKS, online learning platforms, or in-person workshops.
  • Social Events and Team Bonding - Pedestrian Group offers a variety of opportunities to bond with the team, from team lunches, Friday arvo knockoffs at the local, team activities, company-wide summits or just an ordinary BBQ on the balcony with a DJ and a cheeky marg station (socially distanced of course)
We work hard & party harder!

Working at Pedestrian Group offers you the chance to collaborate with a talented team in a dynamic working environment. You’ll have the opportunity to grow your skills and career with one of Australia’s fastest-growing digital media companies.
