Our Program:

The Perpetual Graduate Program is an essential component in building our pipeline of talent and will support you to grow your skills to deliver exceptional outcomes in an environment of high performance and integrity. You will be provided with career development and the support you need every step of the way.

As a Perpetual Graduate, you will complete rotations in real roles doing meaningful work across all core business units: Perpetual Investments, Perpetual Private, Perpetual Corporate Trust, Risk and Legal, HR and Corporate Services. Over the 12 months , you’ll complete two rotations of six months’ duration across different teams. We’ll discuss your preferences with you during the recruitment process.

About You:

You’re in your final year of study or have completed your degree in last three years and looking for a challenging launchpad for your career in financial services.  While many of our past graduates have studied business, commerce, accounting or law, we welcome applications from a wide variety of disciplines.

You enjoy solving problems, aim to keep learning throughout your career and have both drive and empathy.  To compete in the world we live in we want graduates who are adaptable and have both high IQ and high EQ, who enjoy hitting high targets and setting the next ones even higher.

As long as you’re smart, driven and a people person you can be anyone – we want diversity of backgrounds, attitudes, talents and thinking to help us meet the challenges of tomorrow (even before we know what they will be).

To get into our list of candidates you’ll need to show us a credit average GPA (or above) and tell us how you’ve excelled in (and learned from) extra-curricular activities, part-time jobs, summer internships or work experience. In your application we’d love to hear about what unique skills, ideas and experience you can bring to the team.

Perpetual’s values, policies, development opportunities and practices all promote diversity and equal opportunity, creating an environment where individual differences and experiences are harnessed for business success.  Our Graduate Program is no different; in your application, we’d love to hear about what makes you unique.  We want to hear about your skills, ideas and experience.

Your Development:

In the Perpetual Graduate Program, your development is important to us.

Your journey with Perpetual begins through your recruitment process where we build a strong insight of your respective strengths and potential areas for development. We subsequently use this information to build a blended learning approach that includes customised face-to-face workshops, online learning, and access to leaders. Your development program is designed to set you up for future success and high performance in our organisation.

In designing your learning journey, we take consideration to the skills you need to perform at the appropriate stage in your graduate program. For example, on joining Pereptual our focus will be helping you transition into the workplace. As you progress through the program we may cover areas including understanding your-self and performing in diverse teams, influencing others, building resilience and developing leadership capability. This compliments any formal technical training that you may complete as part of your specific role.

Your tailored learning journey will allow you to network and build strong relationships, not only with your own graduate cohort but with key stakeholders in our business. You will have access to an online learning platform (Grad Passport) and additional development opportunities that will provide you with the exposure to expand your knowledge in order for you to drive in your career.

As a Graduate, you will have exposure to different businesses and clients where you will gain a depth of experience in our organisation, access to leaders in our business, and a structured support community of buddies and mentors.

Perpetual is a diverse business and we seek graduates from a variety of disciplines.  Not everyone knows where they are headed when they leave university, so we offer graduates both breadth and depth of experience.  We give you an opportunity to explore different roles and learn what you enjoy.
