About Pfizer Australia

Pfizer was founded in Brooklyn, New York by two immigrant cousins, Charles Pfizer and Charles Erhart, who shared a dream of setting up a chemical manufacturing business. Little did they know the company they founded would go on to play a major role in addressing some of society’s most devastating illnesses.

Your role

Pfizer is recruiting multiple Pharmaceutical Science Graduates to work across the Inspection & Packing/Supply Chain and Quality departments. There are multiple fixed-term contracts available that are internally known as Continuous Improvement Associates - these roles will contribute towards the goals and objectives of the team.  Your focus and ability to meet team targets will help in completing critical project deliverables. Your innovative use of communication tools and techniques will facilitate explaining difficult issues and establishing consensus between teams.

Full training on Lean and Six Sigma will be provided to the successful candidates – this is a great opportunity to be part of a leading Pharmaceutical organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the deployment of a Continuous Improvement model (IMEx) within the Inspection & Packing (I&P)/Supply Chain/Quality areas
  • Support the project leads to contribute to the completion of projects and project timelines.
  • Support the creation of required role cards and IMEx framework within the area
  • Provide operations expertise in new lines/processes within the area.
  • Support training of colleagues within the business on the IMEx model
  • Ensure adherence to compliance and data integrity requirements.

Training & development

To ensure continuous improvement in all areas of the organization, leadership believes in the effectiveness of proper training. Training-based programs allow employees to gain new knowledge, exchange ideas, and search for answers to their concerns or issues. According to McGlynn (1998), Pfizer is a knowledge business. It is not enough to just discover and develop new pharmaceutical products. Employees have to be out there educating medical professionals about the products and what they can do.
