What work will you do?

At RAA, each one of us proudly makes a difference in the lives of people in SA. With multiple industries in one organisation, we offer challenge, variety and the opportunity to undertake real and meaningful work.

You could be:

  • Working with our Innovation team on future mobility projects to prepare RAA for the future.
  • Supporting our Digital Marketing and UX teams with data analytics and member research.
  • Developing and testing RAA web solution changes to improve the member experience on our digital channels with our Digital Services team.
  • Curating engaging social media content with our Corporate Communications team.
  • Working on our Risk Management Framework and Obligations Register with our Risk and Compliance and in-house Legal teams.
  • Assisting our HR Operations team with recruitment and selection, including CV screening and assessment centres.
  • Supporting our Finance department with monthly reporting, bank reconciliation and updating FY21 forecast position.
  • Working with our Content, Design and Production teams to produce samotor magazine and other graphic design projects.
  • Assisting our Public Policy team in preparing media releases, website content and communications.

RAA’s Digital Graduate Program 

RAA is a trusted South Australian brand, and we’re growing – fast. And as we scale, we need more specialised IT experts to evolve our technology across a broad range of business areas.

We are looking for six talented and ambitious IT graduates with backgrounds in web development, cyber security and UX/UI design.

Applications for RAA’s 2021 Digital Graduate Program will open on 30 March 2020. 

Our 18-month Graduate Program commencing in February 2021, offers:

  • Ongoing development opportunities, personally and professionally, to support your continuous learning journey, including a 'Campus to Corporate' Development Program.
  • Regular mentoring sessions with a senior employee to help you grow in the right direction and upskill at your own pace.
  • A competitive salary, plus staff discounts.
  • A permanent position with RAA upon successful completion of the program.
  • Applications will be accepted via the careers page of our website under ‘current vacancies’, including your CV and tailored cover letter addressing essential criteria.

To be eligible to apply, you need to meet the following criteria:

  • Fulltime Australian working rights from Feb 2021 onwards, and if successful, able to provide evidence.
  • Currently in your final year of your university degree or graduated in 2019.
  • Achieving at least a credit average across your university degree, and able to provide evidence at interview.

RAA Summer Internship Program

Our Summer Internship Program offers penultimate university students six weeks of fulltime, paid work experience over the summer holidays. This program provides budding professionals with valuable industry experience and the opportunity to see our values and culture firsthand.

We offer a diverse range of summer intern roles each year, based on business needs. In 2020, our summer interns were placed in Finance, Innovation, Digital Services, Research & Analytics, Human Resources, Innovation, Legal & Risk and Public Policy.

Summer interns receive:

  • Six weeks of fulltime, paid work experience.
  • Induction workshop prior to commencement at our Mile End Head Office including morning tea with Senior Management.
  • Regular mentoring sessions with a senior employee.
  • Weekly lunch and learn sessions and other professional development opportunities, including our Wellbeing & Resilience Program and a ride-along with one of our Patrols.
  • The opportunity to undertake real and meaningful work.
  • A pathway to potential employment at RAA. Over half of our 2020 summer interns were employed after their internship.

Work Integrated Learning

We’re proud to offer undergraduate students with Work Integrated Learning opportunities for university course credit. This program gives you the opportunity to put your knowledge into practice in diverse business, develop skills in a corporate environment and upskill at your own pace.

We take on students from a range of disciplines, including IT, Human Resources, Public Policy, Innovation, Marketing and Law.
