What work will you do?

At RAA, each and every one of us proudly makes a difference to the lives of people in SA. We all have a role to play in delivering value and creating memorable experiences for our members and customers. With multiple industries in one organisation, we offer challenge, variety and the opportunity to undertake real and meaningful work.

You could be:

  • Working with our Innovation team on our future mobility projects to prepare RAA for the future
  • Supporting our Digital Marketing and UX teams with data analytics and member research
  • Developing and testing RAA web solution changes to improve the member experience on our digital channels with our Digital Technology Services team
  • Supporting the Finance department with monthly reporting, bank reconciliation and updating the FY20 forecast position
  • Assisting the Content and Design teams with the production of samotor magazine
  • Curating engaging social media content with our Digital Channels team
  • Working on our Risk Management Framework and Obligations Register with our Risk and Compliance and in-house Legal teams
  • Teaching primary school students in the Street Smart Primary program with our Community Engagement team
  • Assisting the HR Operations team with recruitment and selection, including CV screening and letter preparation
  • Reviewing leadership programs and other in-house workshops with our Organisational Capability team

Summer Vacation Internships

Our Summer Vacation Internship program offers penultimate university students six weeks of paid work experience over the summer break. 

This program provides budding professionals with valuable industry experience and the opportunity to see our values and culture firsthand. You’ll contribute to the positive and memorable experiences we continue to deliver to our members and gain insight into a rewarding career at RAA. 

Summer interns will receive:

  • Six weeks of paid work experience
  • Induction at our Mile End Head Office including morning tea with the Executive team
  • 3 x mentoring sessions with a senior employee
  • Lunch and learn sessions and other professional development opportunities
  • The opportunity to undertake real and meaningful work
  • A pathway to potential employment at RAA!

Applications for our 2020 Summer Vacation Internship program will open on Monday 23 September 2019 and close 9am Tuesday 8 October 2019. 

For our 2020 cohort, we’re looking for interns with the following study backgrounds:

  • Accounting
  • Business
  • Computer Science
  • Data Science
  • Human Resource Management
  • Law

Applications will be accepted via the careers page of our website under ‘current vacancies’, including your CV and cover letter addressing essential criteria. You must be in your penultimate year of university, with working rights in Australia to be eligible to apply. 

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to undertake psychometric assessment and an interview at RAA Head Office in October. If you’re successful, you’ll get a verbal offer followed by a formal contract. You’ll also be invited to come in for coffee to meet your team and the other interns at Head Office before you start.

Please note you must be available for the full duration of the internship: 13 Jan 2020–21 Feb 2020.

Work Integrated Learning

We’re proud to offer undergraduate students with Work Integrated Learning opportunities for university course credit. This program gives you the opportunity to put your knowledge into practice in a diverse business, develop skills in a corporate environment and upskill at your own pace.

We take on students from a range of disciplines, including IT, Finance, Human Resources and Law.

Data and Digital Graduate Program
