Application Process & Interviews at Ramsay Health Care

7.8
7.8 rating for Recruitment, based on 88 reviews
Please describe the interview process and assessments.
It took a long time to find out about the job
Graduate, Melbourne
Interview process includes application, zoom/in person group interview and individual interview.
Graduate, Brisbane
Very slow. Had other offers and GPH was weeks later with their offers. Nearly chose another hospital because of this delay. Also only hearing about rotation at the last minute isn't fair either. Most other hospitals let you know rotation on their offer. Waiting on shifts to the last minute also wasn't great.

The interview was comfortable - the staff were wonderful and friendly. The interview questions were as expected for a nursing interview. I had 4 new grad interviews and this was by far the most favourable and left the best impression. I particularly liked that my employment as a new grad was permanent and not a position that I would have to reapply for after my year is over.
Graduate, Sydney
The interview was friendly and non-confrontational. The interviewers made me feel comfortable and connected with me in meaningful ways.
Graduate, Wollongong
We had a group interview where we went through a team building scenario. A written exam and then a one on one interview.
Graduate, Perth
I found the interview process straight forward, it didn't feel like there were so many hoops to jump through and a long wait to find out the result. The people that interviewed me were down to earth and friendly, not intimidating.

Timely process

The recruitment process was tough - with lots of different stages to get through. After completing the application, we had to complete psychmetric tests and reasoning tests. Then, there was an online interview, and then a assessment day where we had to prepare a presentation, complete a teamwork activity and complete another interview.
Graduate, Sydney
The interview process was very quick which I liked as I didn't have to wait months for an answer. The process involved an initial application from where I answered questions about myself and why I wanted to join the company. I included my CV and cover letter with this. The second stage was completing 4 psychometric tests. The next stage after this was an online interview where I recorded my answers to 3 different questions. After this I attended an assessment centre which included a group activity, a presentation and then a 1 to 1 interview.
Graduate, Sydney
4 round recruitment process. We had some psychometric and logical reasoning tests, then a pre-recorded online interview answering questions as they appeared on the screen, then a virtual assessment centre working on a case study scenario and an individual interview with people from Ramsay/Elysium

Graduate, Warners Bay
About myself and what I could bring to the role. I was asked what 3 words best describe me. I was asked about my future study plans, what commitment I would like to make in terms of full time or part time. What areas of interest I would like to work within.
Graduate, Sydney
Questions ranged from clinical knowledge and previous experience to who my "heroes" are, books I read and leisure activities. It was a disarming and informative set of questions which I believe allowed the interviewers to get a glimpse of the real "me" whilst at the same time assess my suitability for the role.
Graduate, Wollongong
For the group one we were given a list of things to use on an island to survive and told we could only pick a certain amount. For the written portion we were given questions about different patient scenarios and what we would do. For the singular portion we were asked how we would deal with working with someone we don't like or who is difficult to work with. I can't remember the other questions but those are the main ones that come to mind

Always research the company you are going to... have questions ready to ask to show that you've looked in to it and what further information you would like. Sell yourself first before asking what the company can do for you. Be honest in what you are looking for but reasonable in what can be offered to meet your individual needs.

Be yourself. Once you hit the floor, any persona you mimic in the interview will be stripped away and your true self will be exposed.
