Gender Equality at Reckitt Australia & New Zealand
Reckitt is actively seeking gender equality in the workplace by addressing existing barriers to equality, promoting an inclusive culture and providing ongoing support to all our people throughout their careers.
- Reckitt Benckiser Group Board consists of five women and seven men, meaning women make up 42% of our Board.
- Developing the next generation of female leaders and seeing more women take up leadership positions is important to Reckitt, which is why we have a goal to reach 50/50 gender balanced management at all levels by 2030.
- Reckitt has a number of policies in place supporting all gender identities; a domestic and family violence policy providing paid leave, access to flexible working arrangements and access to additional support such as necessary security measures and our Employee Assistance Program.
- Reckitt’s Global parental leave policy introduced in 2019 offers 26 weeks paid parental leave for both primary and secondary caregivers.
- In 2021, of our employees taking advantage of paid parental leave 40% were men and 60% were women.
- Women@Reckitt Employee Resource Group - this group focuses on advancing women in the Reckitt workplace with ‘lean-in’ circles for networking across our global business, offering women at Reckitt the chance to informally connect, and share stories and insights to help one another.
- Our Regional Leadership Team in Australia were involved in International Women’s Day #ChooseToChallenge where they pledged to be advocates for Women’s rights.
- Diversity & Inclusion Panel; The Top 5 Challenges Female Leaders Face At Work - female leaders from across our business who shared their own experiences on gender bias and discussed ways of avoiding it in the workplace.
- WGEA – Annual Gender Equality reporting allows Reckitt to contribute to the dataset on gender equality in Australian workplaces with actions implemented based on the findings.
